Glimpses of Sri Lanka
“How was Sri Lanka?”
One word: FANTASTIC.
One of the first things that struck me about this small island country was the immensely warm and generous hospitality of the Sri Lankans. I’d never really met people so friendly and nice before, who almost always greeted us with “hi”, “how are you?”, and “good morning, sir” wherever we went. That left me with a very good impression of them, save for a disgruntled old guard at the Colombo Fort Railway Station and a tuk-tuk driver who sped recklessly on the streets of Colombo.
Scenery wise, the South Asian country is blessed with beautiful coastlines, rugged mountains, and a wealth of heritage treasures that date back thousands of years. For a country just half the size of Peninsular Malaysia, you’d be surprised to learn that it boasts not 1, not 2, but an astounding 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites! And we only managed to visit 3 during our long week in Sri Lanka (still a pretty impressive feat for us nonetheless).
This is not going to be a long post, and I shall leave you to enjoy some sneak peeks of the pictures that I’ve taken in the truly amazing Resplendent Isle. :)

And I’m back in school again! *sigh* But this shall be my final semester before I venture into the working world. Hopefully all goes well for me as I yearn to graduate so much! *fingers crossed*
