h i s t o r y for October, 2009...
Dying… And resurrected
This month has seen an absence of new posts on this blog, thus I shall do it a lil’ favour since I’ve just received a great news a moment ago.
October is the month preceding the finals. Logically, it’s the busiest month of the semester since we have to rush like hell on our final project and reports in order to meet the deadline besides preparing for the presentations and oral tests that follow suit (in my case, Spanish).
I’ve been deprived of my sleep for many nights now, and the last time I was back at my dorm getting a sweet slumber was last week. These few days, my whole day (and night) was spent at the studio to the point that it’s become my temporary home. I only went back to my dorm for shower and nothing else. I slept on tables, chairs, or whatever flat surface that my poor body came into contact with ~ all but bed. And even so, it was often less than 2 or 3 hours of sleep a day, on a flat, hard surface in an uncomfortable sleeping posture.
I was supposed to submit this final project (imagine working on at least 6 A1-sized sheets, probably more) come this Friday and I haven’t even reached 50% of what was required despite having spilled all my energy and brain juice on it for one whole week. Many of us were on the path of giving up until a fabulous news reached our ears: the due date was postponed till next Monday! Boy, that was the only thing in this world that I’d ever trade my life with for the time being!
So right now, I’m gonna get some much-needed rest. The same routine that I’ve been going through these few days will resume tonight. Time flies in the blink of an eye, and I couldn’t afford losing any of it.
Tomorrow will be a better day, and yes, I believe very much so.
